Now in color – Sasheer Zamata, SNL‘s newest addition.

SNL had to be shamed into casting a black woman – only 4 have cast been included on the show in 38 years – and she makes her debut on the sketch show’s January 18th episode. Her name is Sasheer Zamata.

Zamata honed her comedic talents at the Upright Citizens Brigade (which gave the world Amy Poehler, among others) and we hope to see her in more than just one skit every 10th show.

Welcome to the 21st century, 30 Rock. Check out Sasheer Zamata’s character roll:

Speaking of that, I hope ABC announces a Black Bachelorette for season 10 of The Bachelorette this year or any other non-White female, especially from The Bachelor season 18 (mostly Latina) because there has been too many White Bachelorettes as leads in The Bachelorette. If ABC announces it’s first Black or any minority Bachelorette, I can picture the race card drama and controversy coming from contestants that are the same race (or similar) as the lead Bachelorette in which minority guys gang up on White guys and/or minority guys mixed with White by accusing them of ‘Jungle Fever’, ‘Latin Fetish’, ‘Yellow Fever’, and so forth that it will make big headlines for sure! In other words, guys being racist towards each other on the show.

Just expect thuggish behavior coming from men as the same race as the minority Bachelorette (which will result in them being eliminated) on The Bachelorette season 10 once a non-White Bachelorette is announced. In other words, it’s minority men (usually the same race as the Bachelorette or so) pitting against White and mixed race men, mostly mixed with White. And the next thing you know, the lead Bachelorette’s parents will pressure her into choosing her own race, knowing that parents tend to be more overprotective of their daughters, while they insult other races.
